=Hydria cervinalis

Morley's Final Catalogue: Still very local, though discovered to occur in 1900 quite plentifully in Skepper and Wratislaw's locality at Bury (Suff. Inst. iv, 1870, 220) by Sparke; a fine series was taken there by our Members, De Worms and Doughty in May 1934-5 (Ent. lxviii, 81), Needham (L): rare and intermittent in Waldringfield at light there 27 April 1935 (Wlr). In Beccles, 1937 (Gls).

Recent Suffolk Status: Very local with widely scattered records, mainly from gardens. Seemingly in steep decline with very few recent records.

Life history: Single-brooded. Moths can be found flying at dusk over the foodplant. They come sparingly to light.

Identification: The Tissue has shiny wings and doesn't show any pinkish colouration.

Habitat: Gardens, hedgerows.
