Morley's Final Catalogue:N. cannae, is surely no more than overlooked by us; it is in the fens of both Norfolk and Cambs.
Recent Suffolk Status: Very rare, few Suffolk records. First seen in the county in 1985 at Nowton (R. Eley), with the last record by the same recorder at the same site in 2008. Local populations occur in the Norfolk Breckland.
Life history: Single-brooded.
Identification: Webb's wainscot has the row of black spots along the edge of the wing.
Habitat: Pond edges in the Norfolk Brecks.
